WHO WE ARE

We are called to be an inclusive community of people who love Christ deeply, worship him passionately, and serve him boldly.

WHAT WE ARE CALLED TO DO

We are called to make a difference for Christ by transforming church and community.

What we believe...

United Methodists share a common heritage with all Christians. According to our foundational statement of beliefs in The Book of Discipline, we share the following basic affirmations in common with all Christian communities:

We believe that God is the creator of the universe and giver of all that is good. God is the Savior—known intimately in Jesus and his life, death, and resurrection—who shows us how to live and love.

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who opens our eyes to a world of mystery, miracle, and meaning.

We believe that God’s Holy Spirit calls us to live out and proclaim the message of Jesus with compassion, creativity, and boldness.

We believe that, as the Church, we are called to heal a broken and hurting world, and to be a place where justice is proclaimed and lives are transformed.

We Believe….

That the Holy Bible is the inspired, Word of God. It’s true & without Error.  (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:19-21)

That God is Trinity –  Father,  Son & Holy Spirit (I John 5:7, John 1:1, 2, 14)

That man fell through disobeying God (Romans 5:12, 19)

That Jesus Christ died to redeem us (Titus 2:14, Galatians 3:13)

That salvation is through grace (Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 3:23, 24)

That repentance and acceptance are vital (I John 1:9, John 6:37)

That new birth must be experienced to become a child of God (John 3:3, II Corinthians 5:17)

In a daily Christian life (I Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 6:1-3)

In water baptism & the Lord’s Supper (Romans 6:4, Acts 2:41, I Corinthians 11:23b-28)

That Jesus Christ will come again (I Thessalonians 4:16, 17)

That the Church is responsible to evangelize and make disciples (Mark 16:15, John 4:35-37)
